He limits his practice to probate, wills and trusts, real estate, and issues concerning gay marriage, gay divorce, and co-parenting agreements. Although the majority of his clients are gay, lesbian, and bisexual he represents a number of straight singles and couples as well.

1988 - Florida Bar - admitted to practice law in Florida
1989 - U.S. District Court for Middle District of Florida admission
1993 - U.S. District Court for Northern District of Florida admission
1994 - Colorado Bar - admitted to practice law in Colorado
1995 - U.S. District Court for Colorado admission
2004 - Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil and County Court Mediator
2004 - Returned to solo practice focusing primarily on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues via document preparation and including some mediation and litigation. Probate has been an area of interest since Jonas' Colorado solo practice and continues to the present in Florida. Jonas has represented a number of California, Texas, Midwest, and East Coast heirs whose gay and straight loved ones have passed away. Historically, Florida and probate are very compatible with each other as well as with Jonas' practice areas.
